Christians the world over observe “Good Friday” today

Shillong April 15,2022(MMP): The Christians all over the world today are observing the “Good Friday” to commemorate the suffering, crucifixions and death of Lord Jesus Christ on Mount Calvary. The Good Friday is being observed with deep reverence by Christians. The Catholics are observing the day with religious services of the “Veneration of the Cross and “The Way of the Cross. Other Christian denominations are observing the day with “Good Friday Services” in their churches, in which, pastors and church elders, while giving their sermons speak at length on the significance of “Good Friday” commemorating the redemptive work of Christ for the world.

          From the early days of Christianity, Good Friday was observed as a day of sorrow, penance, and fasting. Christians believe that God raised Jesus from the dead on Easter Sunday.

          The Prime Minister Narendra Modi today remembered the courage and sacrifices of Jesus Christ on Good Friday. In a tweet, Modi said, his ideals of service and brotherhood are the guiding light for several people.
