Two-day Exhibition cum awareness campaign get underway at Don Bosco Technical School, Shillong

Shillong, February 17,2022(MMP): The Regional Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Shillong today organized the two-day Exhibition cum awareness campaign on the occasion of celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence, Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav and COVID Appropriate Behaviour at Don Bosco Technical School, Shillong.The director of Don Bosco Technical school, Fr. Sagi Stephen who the Chief Guest on the occasion inaugurated the photo exhibition.

         The guest of honour Fr. Arcadius Puwein, principal of Don Bosco Technical school, Dr Engam Pame, Director, ROB Shillong, Prof Amena N Passah, professor of History Department, Nehu, Shillong, General Secretary, North East India History Association talked about the history of the freedom fighters in Meghalaya, Dr. R. Lyngdoh, Meghalaya  Joint Director of Health Services, Govt of Meghalaya, Shillong spoke on covid protocols, Br. Barnabas Khyriem, manager of Don Bosco Technical school and the staff and students of Don Bosco Technical school, Shillong participated in the programme. A cultural programme was also organized on the occasion.

Congress likely to support the Government after Assembly Election-2023 says MDC P.N. Syiem

Shillong, February 17,2022(MMP):The Opposition Leader of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council P.N. Syiem today said that there is the possibility of the Congress supporting the state Government after the Assembly Election-2023. Speaking to the media, Syiem who is also the Working President of Congress in Meghalaya said this in view of the present political climate in the state that drives toward more coalition partners in the formation of the new Government

Section of SSA teachers disagree with MSSASA to approach the Court against state Government 

Shillong, February 17,2022(MMP): A section of SSA teachers today said that they totally disagree with the Meghalaya Samagra Shiksha Ahimanta School Association to approach the Court just because the State Government is unable to pay their pending salaries and arrears.

          Speaking to the media at Shillong Press Club, one of the SSA teachers, B. Lyngdoh said that it would be better for the SSA teachers to keep negotiating with the state Government rather than approaching the Court for their problems.

Meghalaya SSA Teachers to continue with Non-Cooperation Movement against the state Government

 Shillong, February 17,2022(MMP): The Meghalaya SSA teachers under the banner of Meghalaya SSA School Association today said that they will continue with their Non-Cooperation Movement against the state Government till all their salaries are cleared by the state Government. Speaking to the media at Shillong Press Club, the leaders of this Association demanded that the state Government should relase the additional fund of 104 crore rupees towards payment of the salaries of SSA teachers in the state.
