Shillong, December 18, 2021(MMP): The unprecedented rain that lashed the different parts of Meghalaya today brought normal life to a grinding halt. In Shillong, the rain-coupled hailstones brought life to a standstill, as people were unwilling to come out of their houses due to the cold and the roads leading to Police Bazar and Mot Phran were found to have heavy traffic jams for a few hours. The inclement weather and frequent load shedding has made life difficult and frequent power load shedding brought shops and business establishments huge economic losses.
