Meghalaya Government to relocate all Government Employees from Iew Mawlong in Shillong

Shillong, November 1, 2021 (MMP Meghalaya Government today said that it relocate all its employees from Iew Mawlong in Shillong to the designated locations prepared for them. This was disclosed by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma. Speaking to the media at his Office Chamber at the Main Secretariat in Shillong, the Chief Minister said the Government employees will be relocated in different prime locations and the places where they will stay will be provided with the best facilities which are conducive for their happy stay.

          When asked on the border issue, the Chief Minister said he had a telephonic talk with Assam’s counterpart and the head of states decided to visit at least two or three disputed border locations between Assam and Meghalaya. Conrad K. Sangma said this visit will take place in the second week of November this year, but the dates are yet to be finalized.

            On the vaccination scenario in the state, the Chief Minister said the Health Department has done its best to convince the people to take the vaccine, but some of them are not willing to take the vaccine due to their own perception. Conrad K. Sangma also said many do not bother to take the vaccine due to complacency. However, “I appeal the people of the state to take the vaccine for ensuring good health”, Conrad K. Sangma added.
