The year-long celebration of this aspirantate began on the 11th of this month with a concelebrated Holy Mass led by the Provincial of Salesian Shillong Province at Savio Juniorate chapel to thank God for all his benedictions that he has showered on this religion institution that has produced for the vast majority of the present day Salesians in the North Eastern Region. While delivering the homily during the Holy Mass, the Provincial of Salesian Province of Shillong, Father Paul O. Lyngkot said celebration is a time to move forward to be closer to God, the church and the congregation. Fr. Turning his attention to the aspirants, Father Lyngdoh made an ardent appeal to them to read about the patron St. Dominic Savio and also to emulate his example.

Speaking to the Salesian clergy after the Holy Mass, Father Lyngkot suggested holding the morning and evening Euchristic adoration as part of the year-long celebration Savio Juniorate for strengthening one’s spirituality.

Savio Juniorate saw the light of day as a result of the foresight, dynamism and hard work of Rev. Fr.
