Meghalaya Government announces partial reopening of Lower Primary Schools

Shillong, February 3, 2021(MMP): Meghalaya Government has announced further relaxation of Covid-19 restriction by allowing reopening of Lower Primary School. Speaking to reporters after the Review Meeting, Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong said the Government have decided to allow partially reopening Classes between Class-I and Class-V. Tynsong said the reopening of Classes will be for lesson consultation and not the regular classes subjected to strict compliance of health protocols. This would mean that the school authority can have only consultative classes with the students but not on a regular basis and also be subjected to strict compliance with the SOPs issued by the government. The government has also decided to allow hostels and private crèches in the city to reopen immediately. The SOPs will be in place till the COVID-19 vaccination drive is completed in the state.MMP


Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announces schedule of CBSE Board examinations for Class 10th and 12th.

Shillong, February 3, 2021(MMP): Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced the schedule of the CBSE Board examinations for Class 10th and 12th. As per the date sheet released, the CBSE Class 10th Board examination will commence on 4th of May with language subjects and the exam for main subjects will start from 6th of May with English paper. The final paper, Computer Applications, will be held on 7th of June. The examination will begin at 10.30 A.M. The examination for Class 12th will also commence on 4th of May with subject English Elective and English Core. The final paper for other subjects will be held on 11th of June. Class 12th examination will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be held from 10.30 am to 01.30 pm while the second shift will begin from 02.30 pm to 05.30 pm. MMP
