Shillong, January 13, 2021(MMP) :Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong strict action against the violators of the Special Operating Procedures (SOPs) in view of COVID-19 in the State while he appealed the public to join hands and work together in making sure that the State does not get the new strain. Speaking with media persons, Tynsong said that the Government have not withdrawn restrictions and Government appeal the people to comply with the SOPs. On the current ongoing situation where the public seems visibly relaxed, the Deputy Chief Minister said that many Covid cases are still active and in view of the new strain, people need to remain alert. Requesting public to follow the basics like social distance, hand hygiene and wearing masks, Tynsong said asserted that the Government will continue its vigil against virus.
