Shillong, September 5, 2020 (MMP): Meghalaya Secretariat, the hot seat of governance located in Shillong was sanitized today by health workers for the first time in its long history. The rooms including the floors looked spick and span after they have been through cleansed after spraying of disinfectants. Meghalaya Secretariat will remain shut for two days from Saturday after six government officers tested positive for Covid-19, Deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong said. The government has appealed to guests intending to visit the Secretariat next week to postpone their programme in view of the infections, he said.
