Meghalaya Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh visits Aitbar and Nartiang villags in West Jaintia Hills

Shillong, August 26, 2020:The Speaker of Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Metbah Lyngdoh made a visit to the religious and cultural sites of Aitnar village and Nartiang village in West Jaintia Hills, where the Tourism Department has sanctioned an amount of Rs.10 crore under Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive Scheme for beautification of these two villages. Nartiang village is known for its monolith heritage site and the famous Durga Temple. Ainar village is know for holding the annual Behdiengkhlam festival to drive away the plague. The Speaker was accompanied by was accompanied by Minister of Transport Department, Sniawbhalang Dhar and Jowai MLA,  Wailadmiki Shylla. Earlier, Jowai local MLA, Wailadmiki Shylla, MDC from JHADC, President of Seinraij Jowai O.R. Challam welcome the Speaker and also expressed their appreciation to them for their follow up of the scheme. From these two schemes 6.19 cr has been allocated to Syiem of Aitnar and 5 crore for Nartiang. MMP
