Meghalaya Education Department to introduce biometric attendance and live class for two government schools in Shillong

Shillong, 6th June, 2020(MMP) : Meghalaya Education Department is planning to introduce bio-metric attendance for both teachers and students of the two Government schools in Shillong. Education Minister, Lahkmen Rymbui informed that bio-metric attendance will be introduced in the Government Boys’ Higher Secondary and also in the Government Girl’s Higher Secondary School.

         He also informed that it is also planning to start live class rooms as a pilot project in these two schools to allow the parents to see what their children are doing in the class rooms. Rymbui however hopes that the department will be able to carry forward this project which it plans to start in April. On the monitoring of the performance of the teachers in the Government schools, he said the Government will transfer if it finds the performance of any of the teachers is not satisfactory and bring the best teacher in their place.
