Meghalaya Chief Minister solicits Headmen and parents’ cooperation to keep children indoors

Shillong, April 21, 2020 (MMP): Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has solicited Headmen and parents’ cooperation to ensure that children as kept indoors in view of the Lockdown to contain the spread of Corona-virus-19. The Chief Minister also urged the elderly citizens of the state to refrain from venturing out, as they are more prone to be contaminated with the dreaded Corona-virus. Conrad said so far 838 samples have been collected and 714 were tested negative.
While the state continues to have active cases, Conrad informed that the government is awaiting the results of 113 tests.“ All the active cases are stable and the patients under quarantine”, he said. On the stranded students and workers employed in different parts of India, the state Government is providing to each of them with a lump sum amount of Rs 3000, which will be transferred directly to their accounts. He also informed that the Government will purchase 25 Ambulances from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to meet the pressing work requirement when the state is being attached by Corona-virus-19. MMP
