Rapid Action Force deployed to contain group clash in Meghalaya

Shillong, March 4, 2020 (MMP): The Rapid Action Force, which became fully operational on the 7th of October, 1992 to deal with riots, riot like situation, crowd control and relief operation and related unrest has been deployed to maintain law and order in Shillong from today. The force has been deployed following a request from the Centre by Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma for deployment of  Central paramilitary forces to contain unrest in the state follow a group clash which led to the death of three persons. MMP
