Meghalaya Cabinet approves amendment of  Meghalaya LPG Regulation for sale and distribution order-1988

Shillong, February 29, 2020 (MMP): Meghalaya Cabinet has approved an amendment to the Meghalaya LPG Regulation for sale and distribution order, 1988, as per the recommendation of the Ministry of Petroleum Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas under which periodicity of renewal of license for LPG distributors will now be five years. The State Cabinet also approved an amendment to the Meghalaya Kerosene Licensing and Distribution Control Order, 1988 under which the validity of the license of kerosene distributors will now be extended to 5 years from existing 1 year. Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister James Sangma said that the order was amended based on the recommendations of the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs and will be approved in the upcoming Budget session of the Assembly.
