Shillong, 25th January 2020 (MMP) The government of Meghalaya’s arts and culture department along with ICCR today organized a march of peace and harmony as part of the week-long Meghalaya day celebrations. The carnival consisted of members from different communities of Khasi, Jaintia, Garo, and other sub-tribes. A cycle rally in collaboration with the Meghalaya cycling association was also organized as part of the rally. Speaking at the event, chief minister Conrad k Sangma said that the plan is to conduct the carnival every year to showcase the rich culture and heritage of the state. MMP
