Shillong, May 3, 2019 (MMP): Meghalaya Government has asked the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel from Guwahati to be deployed in Meghalaya in view of the cyclone Fani approaching towards North East. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister, Kyrmen Shylla said that chances are very high that the cyclone Fani may affect parts of Meghalaya and hence the NDRF personnel have been asked to come to the state. Stating that all the Deputy Commissioners AND SDRF have been asked to remain alert in view of the cyclone, he added that the Deputy Commissioners have also been directed to intimidate all the line departments like MeECL, Forest and PWD to be on standby in view of the situation. Meanwhile as the cyclone made a fall in Odisha on Friday, Shillong city also witnessed heavy rain and fog. MMP
