Shillong,28, 2019 (MMP): The former IFS officer, THS Boney who had filed his nomination as the candidate of the Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) will now have to contest as an independent candidate from the Shillong Parliamentary seat, whereas the CPI candidate, Justice Kharbasanti had decided to withdraw his nomination. Talking to reporters here today, Returning Officer (RO), Abhishek Bhagotia informed that he had passed the order to allow THS Boney to contest as an independent candidate. He also informed that the CPI candidate has withdrew his candidature at around 1.15 pm. It may be mentioned that with the CPI candidate withdrawing his nomination, a total number of six candidates will contest from the Shillong Parliamentary seat. MMP
