Another body of the 15 trapped coal miners at Ksan Village in East Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya recovered today by a joint team of NDRF and Indian Navy

                 Another body of the 15 trapped coal miners in Ksan Village of East Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya was recovered today by a joint team of NDRF and Indian Navy personnel from a 200 feet deep rat hole mine with the help of underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle. Government officials informed that five persons- four NDRF rescuer and one Indian Navy Personnel went down the shaft with all safety equipment and gears to retrieve the body which showed signs of decomposition.

            The body was handed over to Government officials in the presence of District Civil Administration officials, and the body further dispatched to Civil Hospital, Khliehriat for post mortem and further necessary action. The operation still continues for other detected body, informed the official. Of the 15 trapped miners, the Navy has to retrieve only one body on January 23 who were identified as Amir Hussain from Assam’s Chirang district. The miners were trapped after the mine flooded on December 13, last year.
