Prime Minister Narendra Modi to unveil development projectd in three  North Eastern states

        Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving Guwahati tonight on a two-day visit to North East. An official release said Mr Modi, will reach Itanagar from Guwahati tomorrow morning and unveil a series of development projects at IG Park. He will lay the foundation stone for the construction of Greenfield Airport at Hollongi.

            The airport will boost the economic growth of the region and will be of strategically important to the nation. Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Sela Tunnel in Arunachal Pradesh. It will provide all-weather connectivity to Tawang Valley for civilians as well as security forces throughout the year.

       The tunnel will reduce travel time to Tawang by an hour and boost tourism and related economic activities in the region. Prime Minister will also dedicate a new DD Channel, for Arunachal Pradesh – DD Arun Prabha at IG Park, Itanagar. The channel will be the 24th channel operated by Doordarshan.

         Prime Minister will also inaugurate Hollong Modular Gas Processing Plant in Tinsukia, Assam. In the last leg of his visit, Mr Modi will be in Agartala. He will dedicate Garjee – Belonia Railway Line to the nation through the unveiling of a plaque at Swami Vivekananda Stadium. This line will boost Tripura as the gateway to South and Southeast Asia.  NSD
