Meghalaya Government expresses keenness to name a locality after the founder of Unitarian Church

              Meghalaya Government has expressed its keenness to name a locality after the founder of the Unitarian Church in the Hynniewtrep land of Khasi-Jaintia, U Hajom Kissor Sing Nongbri.
               This was disclosed by Meghalaya Home Minister, James K. Sangma, while attending an inter-faith programme organised by the Unitarian Church in the Khasi-Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya and Karbi-Anglong of Assam in Shillong. In this regard, the Unitarian Church will celebrate  the 131st Anniversary on September 18 across the Khasi-Jaintia and Karbi Anglong region of Meghalaya and Assam. Speaking on the occasion, Sangma was all out in naming a locality after the founder of Unitarian Church and lexicographer, as a mark of gratitude and appreciation for their contribution to the society.  MMP
